️About the Speaker
I’m Katya Stelmakh, the Founder and CEO of a business immigration law firm, Stelmakh & Associates, LLC. We help entrepreneurs, startup founders, scientists, IT professionals, and their families with work visas and green cards. For many people, coming to the US means a lot because there are few personal or business opportunities in their home countries. I was in the same shoes. When I was 19, I won a scholarship from the US government for an international exchange program and arrived on a J-1 Exchange student visa. Coming to the U.S. from the Soviet Union was a very empowering experience. I decided to pursue legal status in the U.S., advance my career, and establish my life here.
